Founder & Principal

Aaron Agulnek is the Founder and Principal of 27 South Strategies, where he helps organizations navigate government, build relationships, secure funding, and advance public policy goals. His clients include healthcare providers, education organizations, nonprofits, and mission-driven businesses working to strengthen communities across Massachusetts and beyond.

Before founding 27 South, Aaron served as Legal Counsel to the Assistant Majority Leader of the Massachusetts State Senate, working on a broad range of issues including, economic development, civil rights, and financial services. After leaving the State Senate, he joined the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston as Director of Government Affairs, leading efforts to promote economic development, extend civil rights and create innovative public/private collaborations to meet emerging needs.

Aaron serves as a senior advisor at Pine Street Advisors, a Washington, D.C.-based policy consulting firm. Aaron is also a Professor at Emerson College in Boston where he teaches courses in Advocacy and Argumentation, and Boston Politics. He lives in Sharon, MA with his wife and two sons.
